2 c. diced celery
1 diced onion
8 c. diced potatoes
2 c. ham chunks
2 tsp. salt
1/2 c. margarine
1 1/2 tsp. sugar
1/2 c. flour
1 qt. half and half

Directions:
Directions:
In a large pot, combine celery, onion, potatoes, ham and salt. Cover with water, just enough to cover the veggies. Bring to a boil and cook until vegetables are tender. In a saucepan, melt margarine. Stir in sugar, then flour. Blend this well. Add ½ of the half and half and cook until thickened, stirring constantly. Pour this mixture into the hot soup and bled well. Add the rest of the half and half. Season to taste with salt and pepper.
