1 cup butter
1 cup white sugar
pinch of salt
1 tsp vanilla
1/4 cup finely chopped almonds
1 cup milk chocolate chips

Directions:
Directions:
Prepare large cookie sheet by lining it with parchment paper.
In a sturdy saucepan, combine butter, sugar, and salt. Cook over low-medium heat, stirring until butter is completely melted. Allow to come to boil, stirring frequently. Cook until mixture becomes dark amber; 285º on a candy thermometer.
As soon as candy reaches 285º, quickly stir in vanilla and nuts. Pour onto parchment paper. Sprinkle with chocolate chips, allow chocolate to melt and lightly spread into a thin top layer.
Place in refrigerator until cooled. Break into pieces and store in an airtight container. You do not have to refrigerate but best if kept cool.
