24 cups of air popped popcorn
2 sticks butter
2 cups light brown sugar
1/2 cup light corn syrup
1 tsp. salt
1 jar dry roasted peanuts (optional)
1 tsp. vanilla
1/2 tsp. baking soda

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 225º
Place the popped popcorn in a large greased roasting pan. Add the peanuts if you are going to use them.
Combine in a sauce pan the 2 sticks butter, 2 c. light brown sugar, 1/2 c. light corn syrup and the tsp. salt.
Bring to a boil stirring occasionaly and boil for 5 minutes. Remove from heat and stir in the 1 tsp. vanilla and 1/2 tsp, baking soda.
Pour the caramel over the popcorn and fold until every kernel is coated.
Bake between 1 and 1-1/2 hours, folding well every 15 minutes.
Cool caramel corn and store in air tight container.
