1 box white cake mix
3 ounce strawberry jello
15 ounce frozen strawberries, thawed and pureed
4 large eggs
1/2 cup oil
1/4 cup water

Strawberry Cream Cheese Frosting:
1/4 cup butter, softened
8 ounce cream cheese, softened
10 ounce frozen strawberries, thawed and pureed, 1/4 cup reserved
1/2 teaspoon strawberry extract
7 cups powdered sugar
Fresh sliced strawberries for garnish

Directions:
In large bowl combine cake mix and gelatin. Add pureed strawberries, eggs, oil, and water. Beat at medium speed until smooth. Pour into 2 lightly greased round cake pans. Bake for 20 minutes at 350º. Let cool in pans for 10 minutes. Remove from pans and let cool completely on wire racks. Make frosting: In large bowl beat butter and cream cheese until creamy. beat in 1/4 cup of strawberry puree and flavoring. (The rest of the strawberry puree can be used in smoothies or another recipe). Gradually add powdered sugar, beating until smooth. Spread frosting in between the layers and on the top and sides of cake. Garnish with sliced strawberries.
