2 tbsp vegetable oil
2 beef sirloin tip steaks (1/2 to 3/4 lbs each)
1 small chopped onion
1 large can of diced tomatoes (16 ounces)
1 stalk of finely sliced celery
1 Green pepper, coarsely chopped
1.5 tsp oregano
1 bay leaf
1 cup of water
Salt and pepper to taste

In large pot, heat the oil over medium high heat
Place steaks into the pot one at a time, quickly browning them on both sides.
Remove steaks and set aside.
Add the onion to the pot and cook over medium low heat until transluscent (3 minutes).
Return the steaks to the pot, and add the tomatoes, celery and green pepper.
Add the oregano and the bay leaf.

Cover the pot and cook over medium low heat for about 1.5 hour, or until meat cuts with a fork.
