cut core/ bottoms off of:
1 large head romaine lettuce, torn
1 head iceberg lettuce, and torn
1 10 oz. can artichoke hearts (drain and quarter)
1 10 oz. can hearts of palm (drain & quarter)
1 large red onion sliced thinly
1/3 c. red wine vinegar
1/2 c. olive oil
1 c. Parmesan cheese
salt and pepper to taste
You will need big size storage bag or small white trash bag to mix & store

toss all ingredients in larger bowl
toss again gently and put into either
a huge zip-seal storage bag or a small
(like white kind) trash bag to mix well
(this is a huge salad) or really big salad
bowl with lid like some Tupperwares
Chill overnight or up to 24 hours to blend

I do mean "original" as my brother-in-law Bosko got this right from the chef's mouth as I asked him to do. A Rich & Charlies small restaurant (only 4 tables, the rest was carry-out), at the corner of Clayton Road and HWY 141 was right across from Western Electric about 40 years ago. Sooo many from Western Electric ate there they were willing to give up this recipe for me. You know how much Rich & Charlies (and Pasta House) have grown since then, and this salad is one of the reasons!
