3 1/2 lb chuck roast
6 medium peeled potatoes cut into bite sized chunks
2 cans cream of mushroom soup
1/2 c. grated cheddar cheese
2 T. paprika
3 T. oil
black pepper to taste

Directions:
Brown meat in large pot with oil - then cover &
then cook 1 1/2 hour on stove adding water in 1/2 c. or so as needed,
keeping a small amount of water in the pan for cooking & moistness
stir and keep an eye on the water level so as not to burn
Put in large casserole dish with potatoes
pour in the soup and mix with fork to blend with pot liquid
Bake at 350º for 1 1/2 hours or till fork -tender
sprinkle with cheddar and dust with paprika
