6 c. sugar
2/3 to 1 c. cocoa
1 lb. butter
1 lg. can evaporated milk
1 lb. walnuts or pecans
1 tsp. vanilla

Directions:
Directions:
Mix all ingredients together except the nuts. Stir until dissolved, then cook without stirring until a soft ball forms in cold water. Remove from heat & add the nuts. Beat with an electric beater until candy loses its gloss. Pour in a greased pan. Let Cool. Cut in squares.
Makes 5 lbs.
