1 cup sugar
3 squares chocolate
1/2 cup water
salt
4 eggs
1 quart or more cream
1 cup nuts
flavoring

Directions:
Directions:
Without stirring boil the sugar and water for 6 minutes. Then pour the syrup on the chocolate which has been melted over hot water. Add the yolks well beaten and salt. Cook over hot water, stirring constantly until thickened. Remove from fire, beat until cold if needed. Add Whipped cream (solid) to beaten whites and a tsp of vanilla and nuts. Freeze.

Growing up on a farm had some advantages. My father would milk the cows and my mother would put the milk in the refrigerator in large bowls. When the cream separated she would skim the cream off the top. She would make butter and other great things, like this parfait or Texas Cream Pie.
