Streusel Mixture:
1/2 cup light brown sugar, packed
2 T. butter, softened
2 T. all-purpose flour
1 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 cup chopped walnuts

Batter:
1 1/2 cups sifted all-purpose flour
2 1/2 tsps. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1 egg
3/4 cup granulated sugar
1/3 cup butter, melted
1/2 cup milk
1 tsp. vanilla extract

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 375º. Grease 8 x 8 inch baking pan.
Make Streusel Mixture.
Sift flour with baking powder and salt. Set aside.
In medium bowl, beat egg until frothy. Beat in sugar and butter. Add milk and vanilla. With wooden spoon, stir in flour mixture until well combined.
Pour half of batter into prepared pan. Sprinkle with half of streusel mixture.
Repeat with remaining batter and streusel mixture.
Bake 25 to 30 minutes.
Serve warm.
