French Apple Pie Recipe

1 ready to bake pie crust
1 c. sugar
1/4 c. cornstarch
1/4 tsp. nutmeg
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
pinch salt
6 c. sliced tart baking apples
1/2 c. chopped walnuts
1 c. flour
1/2 c. butter
1/2 c. packed brown sugar

Directions:
Directions:
Mix sugar, cornstarch, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt in a bowl. Add apples and walnuts and mix together. Put apple mixture in the pie crust. Mix together until crumbly, the flour, butter, and brown sugar. Put on top of the apple mixture. Spread to cover. Bake at 375º for 1 hour and 30 minutes ( I don't bake it that long). Cover pie with foil for the last 10 minutes.
