3 (8 ounce) packages cream cheese, softened
1 cup sugar
5 eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla

Topping:
1 cup sour cream
3 tablespoons sugar
1/2 teaspoon vanilla
24 red or green glazed cherries
Directions:
Directions:
Combine cream cheese, sugar, eggs, and vanilla; blend until smooth. Line muffin tins with paper or foil liners. Fill each 2/3 full. Bake at 300º for 40-45 minutes. Remove from oven. When cakes sink, in about 5 minutes, top with 1 tablespoon topping and a cherry. Return to oven for 5-10 minutes. Cool. Freeze if desired. Best made day before serving. Makes 2 dozen.
A dollop of any preserves may be substituted for the cherries.
