8 oz. package cream cheese, softened
1/2 c. butter or margarine
2 c. flour
1 c. sugar
1/3 c. milk
2 c ground walnuts or pecans
powdered sugar

Beat cream cheese and butter with mixer. Add flour, mix well. Shape in to a ball, cover and chill 1-2 hours.

Cook sugar and milk over medium heat until milk boils and sugar dissolves, stirring occasionally. Add nuts and remove from heat. Cool until spreadable.

Roll out chilled dough on lightly floured surface to form a 18X12 inch rectangle. Cut in half lengthwise. Spread each rectangle with nut filling. Start at long side and roll up jelly roll style. Cut rolls in half. Place seam side down on ungreased cookie sheet. Cut into 1/2 inch slices without separating (don't cut all the way through).
Bake at 350º for 15-20 minutes. Let cool slightly. Remove to wire rack to completely cool. Dust with powdered sugar and separate slices.
