Ingredients:  
1 Tbs olive oil
1 chopped onion
1 tsp each Turmeric, cumin, chili powder, red pepper
¼ tsp salt and pepper
Minced garlic
3⅓ cups water
2⅓ cups lentils
⅓ cup chopped cilantro
1 28 oz can diced tomatoes, undrained
1 box chicken broth

Directions:
Directions:
Saute onion in oil. Add spices and garlic and saute for 1 minute. Add water, lentils, cilantro, broth and tomatoes. Bring to boil. Reduce heat and simmer for an hour.
Garnish with chopped tomatoes and cilantro

I use red lentils but brown works fine. Can use more chicken broth.
