4 - 5 large cloves of garlic
1 - 2 T. rinsed capers
1 can flat anchovies
3 cans minced clams, drained but reserve the liquid
1 lb. peeled / deveined shrimp
2 cans stewed tomatoes, chopped
Splash of red wine
salt, pepper, oregano, parsley (preferably fresh flat leaf), crushed red pepper
1 lb. Linguini pasta (fresh) or spaghetti

Put a large pot of water on to boil for the linguine.
Pour approximately 1/2 C olive oil into large saucepan or dutch oven. Add chopped garlic, capers and anchovies. Simmer until garlic is golden and anchovies disappear. Add reserved liquid from the clams, stewed tomatoes with juices and splash of wine. Add a 1 t. salt, pepper to taste (1/2 t. fresh ground), lots of oregano (2 t.), lots of parsley(4T.) and a dash of crushed red pepper. Bring to a boil and simmer for 5 - 10 minutes. Add the clams and shrimp. Simmer until the shrimp is cooked. Serve over cooked pasta.
