2 tbsp butter
1/4 cup flour
1/4 cup finely chopped onion
2 cups milk
3/4 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper
1 cup shredded sharp Cheddar cheese
1/2 package processed American cheese slices
4 cups elbow macaroni

Directions:
Directions:
Cook onion in butter on stove top. Add flour and cook over medium heat for 1-2 minutes. Slowly add milk. Add cheeses and stir until melted.
Cook macaroni according to package directions.
Combine macaroni and sauce and stir to coat.
Cook 375º for 30 minutes.

Optional: Add breadcrumb topping before baking.

Variations: Add 8 slices cooked and crumbled bacon for Bacon Mac n' Chesse or try Kielbasa Make. Classic Baked Mac and Cheese, replacing the cheddar in the sauce and on top with horseradish cheddar. Add 12 ounces browned diced kielbasa; top with 1 cup crushed pretzels before baking.
