2 eggs
1 c. sugar
1/4 tsp. salt
2 1/2 c. heavy whipping cream
2 c. half and half cream
2 1/4 tsp. vanilla extract

Directions:
Directions:
In heavy saucepan combine the first five ingredients. Cook over medium-low heat, stirring often until mixture is thick enough to coat a metal spoon and reaches 160º. Remove from heat, cool quickly by setting pan on ice and stirring the mixture. Cover and refrigerate overnight or freeze immediately. When ready to freeze, pour custard and vanilla extract into ice cream freezer cylinder. Freeze according to manufacturers directions.
