1 Cup or 8 oz. package of chopped dates
1 Cup boiling water
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 Cup sugar
1 Tablespoon butter
1 egg
2 cups flour
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 cup chopped nuts

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat over to 350º

Place dates in bowl, add baking soda, pour boiling water over it. Add sugar, butter, egg, flour, salt and nuts blending after each one. Bake in a greased loaf pan at 350º for one hour.
