1 stick oleo
2 cups sugar
2 cups flour
1 cup buttermilk
1 cup pecans
5 egg whites, beaten stiff
1/2 cup shortening
5 egg yolks
1 tsp soda
1 tsp vanilla
1 small can angel flake coconut

Directions:
Directions:
Cream oleo and shortening. Add sugar, beat until smooth, add egg yolk, beat well. Combine flour and soda. Add to cream mixture. Add buttermilk. Stir in vanilla, pecans, and coconut. Fold in beaten egg whites. Makes 3 layer cake or whatever you choose.
