Ingredients:  
4 cups flour
1 yeast cake
1/8 cup water
1 1/2 cup scalded milk
1/2 cup sugar
1/2 cup mashed potatoes (warm)
1/4 cup margarine (warm)
1 tsp salt
4 eggs
1 tsp vanilla (or 1/2 tsp lemon flavoring)

Directions:
Directions:
Add flour, sugar and salt.
Beat eggs and add them with the milk, potatoes and shortening.
Add softened yeast and let rise to double...about an hour.
Roll out 1/2 inch thick and cut.
Fry until golden.
