Cake:
1 stick oleo
1/2 cup shortening
2 cups sugar
5 egg yolks
2 cups flour
5 egg whites, stiffly beaten
1 teaspoon soda
1 cup buttermilk
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 small can Angle Flake coconut
1 cup chopped nuts.
Frosting:
8-oz. package cream cheese
1 stick oleo
1 box powdered sugar
1 cup chopped nuts
1 teaspoon vanilla

Directions:
Directions:
Cream butter and shortening. Add sugar and beat until mixture is smooth. Add egg yolks and beat well. Combine flour and soda and add to creamed mixture alternately with buttermilk. Stir in vanilla. Add coconut and nuts. Fold in egg whites.
Pour into 3 greased and floured 8-inch cake pans. Bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes. Cool and frost.

Frosting:
Beat with mixer and spread on cake.
