1 envelope unflavored gelatin
1/4 cup cold water
1 cup milk
1 cup sugar
1 tsp vanilla
1/4 tsp salt
1 1/2 cups heavy cream

Directions:
Directions:
1. Sprinkle the gelatin over the water and let stand for 5 minutes.
2. Meanwhile, heat the milk to almost a simmer over medium low heat.
3. Remove from heat.
4. Sir in the sugar, vanilla, and salt with a wire whisk until the sugar is completely dissolved, at least 2 minutes
5. Stir into the gelatin mixture and let cool
6. Stir in the cream. Cover and refrigerate for 6 hours
7. Transfer to an ice cream maker and process according to the manufacturer's directions for about 20 minutes or until creamy.
