1 c shortening
1 c white sugar
1 c brown sugar, firmly packed
2 eggs
1 tsp vanilla
1 c chunky peanut butter
2 tsp soda
1/2 tsp salt
2 to 3 cups flourcr

Directions:
Directions:
Cream sugars, shortening, eggs then add peanut butter, vanilla, soda, salt. Mix well
Add one cup of the flour, mix. Then add another cup, mix. Add the remaining cup a little at a time. You want thee mixture to be stiff, but too much flour will make cookies dry and hard.
Drop by spoonfuls on cookie sheet, flatten with forks in a cross pattern

Bake at 350º. For 8 to 10 minutes. Cookies will puff up

My favorite way to bake is to drop onto sheet then put. Thumbprint in the dough and fill with apricot pineapple jam then bake Yum yum
