3 cups milk
1/2 cup sugar
4 tsp salt
1/2 cup shortening

2 tbs sugar
1 cup water
2 pkg active dry yeast
2 egg
6 cups flour plus 5 1/2 flour

Directions:
Directions:
Scold 3 cups milk, pour into large bowl, add 1/2 cup sugar, 4 tsp salt, 1/2 cup shortening. Stir until shortening melts, cool to lukewarm. Meanwhile, dissolve 2 tbsp sugar in 1 cup lukewarm water, over this sprinkle 2 pkg active dry yeast.

Let stand 10 minutes then stir with fork, add to milk mixture. Add 2 well beaten egg, stir well. Beat in 6 cups of flour with spoon, then gradually add another 51/2 to 6 cups flour. Knead on well floured surface for 5 minutes. Cover and let rise for 1 1/2 hours in warm area. Punch down risen dough, let rise for another 30 minutes. Split dough in two. With one half of dough, make into rolls, place in greased baking dish and allow to rise for 1 hour.

Make cinnamon buns with the remaining dough. Roll out dough in a rectangular shape on flour coated surface. Spread butter all over the dough. Mix cinnamon and brown sugar (1 tsp cinnamon and 1 cup brown sugar). Sprinkle brown sugar over butter. Roll the dough length wise, cut in 1 1/2 - 2 inch slices, put in greased baking pan, cover and let rise till double, approximately 1 hour.
Bake in 350ºF oven for 20 minutes or when slightly golden.
