Banana Muffins Recipe

1/2 cup shortening
1 cup white sugar
1 egg
Cream together and beat well.

add:
1 tsp. soda dissolved in 4 tbsp. milk
Then add 2 large or 3 small crushed bananas
1 tsp. vanilla
1 1/2 cups flour
1/2 tsp. salt

Directions:
Directions:
Stir in flour just enough to get it all mixed in -- do not beat.

Put muffins in greased muffin tins.
Fill about 2/3's full.

Bake at 375º for 8 to 10 minutes.
