1 1/2 cups mashed bananas
2 t. lemon juice
3 cups flour
1 1/2 t. baking soda
1/4 t. salt
3/4 cup butter, softened
2 cups sugar
3 eggs
2 t. vanilla
1 1/2 cups buttermilk
Icing:
1/2 cup butter, softened
8 oz. cream cheese, softened
1 t. vanilla
3 1/2 cups powered sugar

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 275 degrees. Grease and flour a 13 x 9 inch cake pan. Mash bananas and mix with lemon juice and set aside. In a medium bowl, mix flour, baking soda and salt. Set aside. In a large bowl, cream butter and sugar. Beat in eggs and stir in vanilla. Add flour mixture, alternating with buttermilk. Stir in bananas. Pour into cake pan and bake 1 hour and 10 minutes or unti toothpick comes out clean. Let cool. Cream butter and cream cheese. Add vanilla and powered sugar. Frost cake.
