1/2 cup Shortening
3/4 cup Molasses
1 Egg

1 1/2 cup Sifted Flour
1/2 tsp Salt
1/2 tsp Soda
1/2 tsp Baking Powder
2 tsp Cinnamon
1/2 tsp Nutmeg

1 1/2 cup Oatmeal
1/2 cup Nuts
1 cup Raisins

Directions:
Directions:
1. Cream shortening, add molasses gradually; creaming well.
2. Beat in egg till light.
3. Sift flour, salt, soda, baking powder and spices; add to creamed mixture.
4. Add oatmeal, buts, raisins.
5. Chill dough.
6. Bake at 375° for 12-15 minutes.
