Prime rib roast ( can have the butcher cut one for you, they also have them already cut at Sam's or Costco)
Salt, Pepper and Garlic, Onion Powder

Directions:
Directions:
Have roast at room temperature. Rub roast with salt, pepper, garlic and onion powder. Put in roaster uncovered. Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Bake roast in a cake pan or roaster uncovered for one hour. Turn off oven and let sit in oven 3 hours. ( do not open oven door)
Then turn oven back on to 375 degrees and cook 30 minutes for rare, 40 minutes for medium and 50 minutes for well done.

Great Christmas day meal! I usually make with mashed potatoes, drippings mixed with cornstarch and water, makes good gravy!
