3 cups sifted granulated sugar
2 TBS caramelized syrup
Dash of salt
1 cup light cream

Make caramelized syrup by melting a cup of sugar in a heavy pan over high heat. When dark brown, add 1 cup boiling water and boil hard for 5 minutes.

Cook to 235 degrees. Cover until lukewarm and add 2 tsp soft butter and 1 tsp vanilla. Beat until thick.

Instructions stop at this point but I assume you would pour it into a buttered pan, cool, and cut into pieces.
