4 eggs
11/2 cups white sugar
750gm apple sauce
225gm butter, just melted and allowed to cool
3 cups bread flour
1 tbsp bicarbonate of soda
1 tsp salt
1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
1 cup almond slivered.

Directions:
Directions:
Beat together the eggs and sugar until nice and creamy, about 2 minutes in your mixing machine. Now add the apple sauce followed by the melted butter. Pour flour, soda, salt and cinnamon into the mixture and give another good mix. Finally stir in the slivered almonds.
Preheat oven to 180c. Line two loaf tins with baking paper, then pour in the mixture. Bake for about 1 hour or until a cake tester comes out clean. Allow to cool down before placing onto a wire rack. Loaf should be nicely browned.
