1 cup butter or margarine
1/2 cup sugar
1/4 tsp salt
2 egg yolks
1 1/2 tsp vanilla
2 cups sifted flour
1 egg white
1 cup chopped walnuts
raspberry jam

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven 375ºF.
Cream together butter, sugar and salt until light and fluffy. Add vanilla and egg yolks, one at a time, beating well after each addition. Stir in flour and mix throughly.
Shape into one inch balls. Dip into slightly beaten egg white and then roll into chopped nuts. Place on cookie sheet about one inch apart. Make a depression in the center of each cookie and fill with raspberry jam. Bake for about 10-12 minutes.
