16 slices white bread, crusts removed ■ 16 slices thin ham or bacon ■ 16 slices cheese ■ 1/4 cup minced onion ■ 6 eggs ■ 1 cup diced peppers ■ 2 tsp Worcestershire ■ 3 cups milk ■ 1/2 cup butter ■ Corn Flakes (crushed or not - preference)

On Christmas Eve, in a greased glass baking dish, lay 1/2 the bread. Cover with ham/bacon and cheese. Cover with the balance of the bread. Top with onions and peppers. In a mixing bowl, combine eggs, milk and Worcestershire. Top casserole with egg mixture. Seal the casserole with Saran and place in the fridge. 1 hour before serving Christmas morning, add cereal to the top and drizzle with melted butter. Bake at 350º 1 hour. Let rest for 5 minutes.
