1/2 c. salted butter
1/2 c. vegetable shortening
1 1/2 c. sugar
2 medium eggs
2 3/4 c. all-ourpose flour
2 tsp. cream of tartar
1 tsp. baking soda
1/4 tsp. salt
2 tsp. ground cinnamon
2 TBSP. suger

Preheat oven to 400ºF

In a large bowl, combine that butter, shortening, 1 1/2 cups sugar, and the eggs and mix thoroughly. Stir together the flour, cream of tarted, baking soda, and stir into the shortening mixture

In a small bowl, stir together the remaining 2 TBSP. sugar with the cinnamon. Shape the dough into 1 1/2-inch ball and roll each ball in the cinnamon sugar. Arrange the dough balls 2 inches apart on an ungreased cookie sheet. Bake 8 to 10 minutes. Transfer the cookies to wire racks for cooling. Store in an airtight container
