1 1/2 cup flour
1 cup sugar
3 T cocoa
1 T vanilla
1/4 cup oil
1 T vinegar
1 T baking soda
1/2 tsp salt

Topping
1/4 cup butter (melted)
4 T evaporated milk
2/3 cup brown sugar
1/4 cup coconut
1/4 cup nuts (optional)

Directions:

Cake
Mix dry ingredients together in a large bowl. Make 3 holes in mixture. In one hole put vanilla. In scond hole put oil. In third hole put vinegar. Pour 1 cup water over top. Stir and mix until smooth. Pour into greased 8x8 pan. Bake ain 375 degree oven for 25 minutes.

Topping
Stir all ingredients together and pour over warm cake. Put cake under broiler until topping is bubbly.

This cake seems odd, but everyone I have served it for loves it. If you double the recipe it will make a 9x13 cake.

You can also make without the topping and serve with straberries and whipped cream.
