1 lb butter (softened)
2 cups sugar
1/4 tsp soda
3 egg yolks
4 cups flour
1 tsp vanilla

Directions:
Directions:
Mix all ingredients (I mix with my hands) Refrigerate dough about 10-15 minutes then roll into balls. Place on ungreased cookie sheet. Get a small glass of water and wet a fork and then press down on each cookie ball (crisscross pattern) Bake at 350 degrees for 10-12 (I usually bake a bit longer til slightly beginning to brown). This makes about 4 dozen or so

Janie Maxwell's recipe - another great Delhi cook. This makes a great party cookie. It is not so sweet but with all that butter it really is yummy! Melts in your mouth.
