Ingredients: 2 1/3 cups flour
2 cups sugar
1 tsp baking soda
1 cup coca cola
2/3 cup butter
2 T cocoa
2 eggs
1/2 buttermilk
2 tsp vanilla
1 1/2 cups tiny marshmellows
COCOA TOPPING:
1/2 cup butter
1/4 cup cocoa
1/4 cup coca cola
2 1/2 cups sifted powdered sugar
1 tsp vanilla

Directions: |
Directions:In large mixing bow, stir together flour, sugar and soda. Set aside. In medium sauce pan bring cola, butter and cocoa powder to boiling over medium heat. Add hot mixture to flour mixture. Stir until just combined. Gently stir in marshmellows (they will float to the top). Pour cake batter into greased and floured 9x13 pan. Bake in 350 degree oven about 30 minutes or until toothpick inserted near center of cake comes out clean. Transfer cake in pan to plate. COCOA TOPPING: In pan bring butter, cocoa and cola to boiling. Add 2.5 cups powdered sugar and 1 tsp vanilla. Mix with wire whisk til combined. Stir in nuts if desired. Spread cocoa topping over cake. |
