2 1/2 cups sugar
2 eggs
3 teaspoons almond extract
1 1/3 cups milk
2 1/2 cups flour
1 teaspoon baking powder
2 sticks melted margarine

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 350 degrees
Mix all ingredients in order listed making sure they are beaten well
Grease and flour a round tube pan or heart shaped norwegian pan

For variation you can sprinkle sliced almonds on the bottom of pan before pouring batter in

Pour batter into pan
Bake for 40-60 minutes
Edges must be golden brown - cool in pan before removing
If removed too soon cake will break

Sprinkle with confection sugar
