3 to 4 lb. frying chicken, cut up
1/3 c. seasoned flour
1/4 c. shortening
1 can condensed cream of chicken soup
2-1/2 tbsp. grated onion
dash pepper
1/2 tsp. celery flakes
1/2 tsp. paprika
1 tsp. salt
1 tbsp. minced parsley
1/8 tsp. thyme
1-1/3 c. water
1-1/3 c. Minute rice

Directions:
Dredge chicken in seasoned flour. Saute in the shortening until tender. Combine soup, onion, and seasonings in saucepan; gradually add water and blend thoroughly. Bring to a boil, stirring constantly. Reserve 1/3 c. soup mixture, pour remaining soup over rice in a shallow casserole. Stir just to moisten rice. Top with chicken and remaining soup mixture. Cover and bake in 375 oven about 20 minutes. Sprinkle with paprika. Garnish with parsley, if desired.
