Personal Notes:
There is a lot of history in our family with Tuna Fish Casserole. When Mitch was a little guy he used to mutter it under his breath when he was irritated. When he was at Ohio State and visited on the weekends, I would always make extra for him to take back with him. One time I made this dish and later in the evening Russ decided he was going to make chili spaghetti, a favorite of his. Mitch was wondering what was going on.

"Why are you making chili spaghetti?"
"I just want some."
"Mom made tuna fish casserole."
"Yeah, I know."
"Okay, well, I'm going to take the rest of the tuna fish casserole back with me to school."
"No, you're not."
"Yes, I am. You're not respecting the tuna fish casserole, Russ."

When I was up at Ohio State working on my Ph.D. I would bring an extra one back for Mitch. I would call him and leave a message letting him know there was one in the refrigerator in my apartment. Sure enough, I would come back to my apartment and Mitch had used his key to let himself in and pick up the casserole so my attempt to get him to myself for a little bit was foiled.

Say what you will, Mitch was loyal to the tuna fish casserole.
