Ingredients:  
2 medium apples (Ida Red or Granny Smith) peeled and coarsely chopped
1 cup sugar
1 1/2 cups CAKE flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1/2 teaspoon nutmeg
1/2 teaspoon ground allspice
1 stick butter melted
1/2 cup raisins
3/4 cup walnuts chopped
1egg slightly beatened

Directions:
Directions:
Measure 1 1/2 cups chopped apples into large bowl

Add sugar, let stand for 15 minutes

In separate bowl, sift flour, soda and spices

Blend Butter and egg into apple mixture

Add flour mixture. Stir just until blended

Fold in walnuts and raisins

Pour into greased 8 inch square pan

Bake in 350º oven fo 50 to 55 minutes

cool, cut into squares
