3/4 c shortening
2 c flour
1/4 c molasses
1 c. sugar
2 tsp. soda
1/2 tsp. salt
3 tbsp. sugar
1 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 tsp. cloves
1/2 tsp. ginger

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 375º
Grease 14 x 10 pan
In large sauce pan melt shortening, let cool 5 minutes. add remaining ingredients except 2 tbsp. sugar, mix well press into bottom of pan, sprinkle with remining sugar.
Bake 10 to 12 minutes, Do Not Over bake watch time.
Cool 5 minutes cut into bars.
