Pastry
1 3 oz. pkg. of cream cheese
1/2 c. butter or margarine - softened
1 c. sifted flour
Mix and chill for 1 hour


Filling
1 egg
3/4 c. brown sugar (not packed)
1 T. butter
1 tsp. vanilla - dash of salt
2/3 c. coarsely chopped pecans
Beat all ingredients together.

Directions:

Shape pastry in size of walnut and place in small cup cake pans.
Shape to size of cups. Place small amount of pecans in bottom of cup.
Place small amount of filling in cup cakes and sprinkle more pecans on top.
Bake at 350º for 20-25 minutes.
Remove from pan and cool on rack.

Grandma Thelma always made a lot of these. She says 5 batches of dough and 6 batches of filling make about 10 dozen. Probably should just start with one batch to begin with.
