1 1/2 c. raisins
1 1/2 c. water
1 c. shortening
1 1/2 c. sugar
2 eggs
3 1/2 c. flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. baking powder
1 1/2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. vanilla

Directions:
Directions:
Boil raisins in water until all of the water is gone, cool. In mixing bowl, cream together shortening and sugar. Add eggs and beat well. Add dry ingredients and vanilla. Fold in cooled raisins. Chill dough and then roll into balls. Roll balls in powdered sugar and place on greased cookie sheet. Bake at 375 degrees for 10 minutes.
