1 lb. brown sugar
2/3 c. margarine or butter
3 eggs
2 2/3 c. flour
2 1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1 c. nuts, chopped
1 tsp. vanilla
12 oz. package chocolate chips (2 cups)

Directions:
Directions:
Melt sugar with butter over low heat. Cool. Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition. Add baking powder and salt to flour and add to sugar mixture. Beat well. Add vanilla, then nuts and chocolate chips. Bake at 325 degrees in 13 x 9 glass pan, greased for 26-30 minutes. (If using a metal plan, increase oven temperature to 350 degrees.) Cut into bars when cool.
