1 can Eagle Brand sweetened condensed milk
1/2 c. lemon juice
1 tsp. grated lemon rind
1 1/2 c. flour
1 tsp. baking powder
Dash of salt
2/3 c. shortening
1 c. brown sugar
1 c. oats

Directions:
Directions:
Blend milk, lemon juice and grated lemon rind together to make lemon filling. Let stand while preparing remainder of ingredients. Mix together the remaining ingredients to make a dough mixture. Pack 1/2 of the dough mixture in the bottom of an 8 x 12 inch pan. Spread lemon filling on top of dough in pan. Place the remaining dough on top of filling. Bake at 350 degrees for 35 to 40 minutes. Cool. Cut into squares. Chill in refrigerator before serving.
