1 cup leaks chopped (white part only)
1 cup chopped celery
1/2 cup chopped onion
4 cups fish broth (or seafood or clam)
4 tablespoons flour
1 pound small shrimp shelled
1 pound bay scallops
1 pound firm fish -like cod
1/2 pound clams shelled
1 stick of butter
2 large russet potatoes
3 cups heavy cream

Directions:
Directions:
Peel and cube the two large potatoes and boil separately.
Melt butter in a large soup pot over medium heat. Add the vegetables and saute until soft. Add the flour and saute until thick. Add broth and cook until a low boil. Add shrimp, scallops, and clams. Cook for 10 minutes. Add fish. Slowly add cream into broth. Let simmer for 30 minutes and then add boiled potatoes.
If you prefer a thicker chowder add a flour paste to broth before adding cream.
