6 medium potatoes
1/4 c finely chopped onion
3 tbsp.flour
1 tsp salt
1/4 tsp pepper
1/4 c butter or margarine
2 1/2 c milk
1 1/2 c cubed ham or 1/2 lb sliced cooked ham

Directions:
Heat oven 350º
Cut potatoes into thin slices to measure about 4 c
In greased 2 quart casserole, arrange potatoes one layer at a time for a total of 4 layers
On each of the first 3 layers, sprinkle 1tbsp flour, 1 tbsp onion, 1/4 tsp salt, dash of pepper and dotting each layer with 1 tbsp butter. Add ham on top to each layer.
4th layer sprinkle with remaining onion, salt and pepper
Heat milk just to scalding, pour over potatoes, cover bake 30 minutes
Uncover and bake 60-70 min longer & potatoes are tender.
Let stand 5-10 minutes before serving, 4-6 servings
