1/2 C shortening 1T butter
1/3 C sugar 1/2 C brown sugar
1 egg 1 tsp vanilla
1 C flour 1/2 tsp baking soda
1/4 tsp salt 1/2 tsp baking powder
1 C oatmeal

Directions:
Directions:
Cream shortening. butter ,granulated sugar and brown sugar. add eggs and vanilla and blend well. Add flour ,salt ,baking powder and baking soda and mix (not completely). Then add oatmeal and fully mix all ingredients. From into 1-inch balls and place on cookies sheet . GENTLY flatten with fork or palm of hand . Bake at 350º for 8-10 minutes .Make 24-30 cookies
