1 box of chocolate fudge cake (any brand)
Filling:
5 tablespoons flour
1 1/4 cups milk
1 stick soft oleo
1/2 cup shortening
1 cup sugar
Frosting:
1 stick oleo
1 egg
3 squares melted chocolate
1 teaspoon vanilla
2 1/2 tablespoons hot water
1 1/2 cups powdered sugar

Directions:

Bake the chocolate fudge cake per box instructions.
Filling:
Cook 5 tablespoons flour and 1 1/4 cups milk until thick. Let cool. Then place in mixer bowl with 1 stick soft oleo, 1/2 cup shortening and 1 cup sugar. Beat on high speed until light and fluffy (about 8-10 minutes). Spread evenly over top of the cake to about 1/4 inch from pan edge. Chill.
Frosting:
Melt stick oleo. Cool slightly. Add 1 egg, 3 squares melted chocolate, 1 teaspoon vanilla, 2 1/2 tablespoons hot water and 1 1/2 cups of powdered sugar. Beat smooth by hand. Spread immediately over cake, clear to edge of pan. Keep in the refrigerator until served. This cake also freezes well.
