2 c. Flour
1 tsp. Baking Soda
1/2 c. Sugar
2 tsp. Cream of Tartar
3/4 tsp. Salt
1/2 c. Butter
1/2 c. Dates
2 Eggs lightly beaten

Directions:
Directions:
Mix together the first six ingredients, blend / cut in butter adding dates by tossing dates into the flour mixture to distribute evenly. Add 2 eggs lightly beaten and mix lightly with a fork until mixture forms a ball and leaves the sides of the bowl.

Roll or pat out 1/2" to 3/4" thick on a lightly floured board. Cut into rounds with a 2" cutter - flouring cutter each time.

Place on greased baking sheet about 2" apart. Brush tops with slightly beaten egg.

Bake in hot oven 380º for about 15 minutes, until golden brown. Serve warm.

Store in air tight container.
